So as we progress through spring and head towards summer, me (Charlie), Mac and Matt are getting ready for an exciting few months, being the wedding band for lots of love couples and performing at a host of other event.
Amongst some of the highlights will be a gig at Wembley stadium for the FA Cup Final, safe to say all three of us are looking forward to that one very much!
We will have the opportunity here to play as a roaming band in London - completely un-amplified, whilst we wander around the venue and interact with all the guests. This style of performance is a personal favourite of mine as it gives us a chance as a band to interact with the guests in a more spontaneous and improvised manner, the results are always unpredictable and its a great way to bring a fun and intimate energy to an event!
We recently played a lovely wedding in London that took place in a beautiful converted loft space. For this show however, we were playing with our usual full set up and the five flights of stairs to reach the loft space was definitely a suitable pre-gig workout! Despite the sore arms we had a great night and enjoyed partying with the wedding guests over the course of the evening, so much so, that we all forgot we had to carry everything back downstairs afterwards!
We think it's safe to say that the guests rather enjoyed themselves as well...
